Film Academy, Coursework, FILMS.

Hey guys so I had not realised how time consuming this Academy would be and how it would effect my education as well as social life (not that I had one to begin with) in fact it has bettered it... Is that a word? Bettered? I think so. Anywho, it's given me multiple of festivals to attend to which means (reasons for me to go out) which is pretty rad- but really expensive. The other day I attended an event hosted by Brixton Reel Film Festival- but you can read more about that here. One in-particular aspect of the Academy that I did not expect to take place was the amount of blogging I would have to do... But not on this blog? So I apologise :( I really do- If you want to follow or even read up on what I have been up to these past couple of weeks feel free to read my BFI Blog. I just haven't had time to do anything, but work- however the great thing about work is that I do film therefore whenever I do get the chance I get to slip in a film here and there whenever I take a break.

Some recent films that I encourage you all to watch are:

  • Barfi (Bollywood film- I haven't been able to find it online with subtitles but I know it's on netflix)
  • Wadjda (Based within Saudi, we follow a young girl in her attempts to get a bike)
  • Maleficent (Angelina Jolie, plays Snow Whites "Maleficent" need I say more?)
  • 2 States (Another bollywood- based on a love story between a girl and boy who originate from two completely different cultures)
  • Timbuktu (Beautiful representation of the differences between extremists and actual muslims- one which I am still writing a review on too)
  • Radio Rebel (Although a disney kids movie- it was really refreshing to watch. Definitely watch it with a younger sibling or cousin)
Now go watch it, and then tweet me your reactions/ favourite scenes/ whether you loved or hated them etc. In college I'm currently scripting/ producing two short films alongside four other members- but I'll hopefully inform you all about that when it begins- o0o which reminds me I have a production schedule to create... Gah!

Anywho you know the drill Toodles!

as always, peace & love
