Love...

Love is an interesting concept. It's interesting because it can come in a variety of ways. Whether it be love as friendship, siblings, partner, parents, animals... Food. I could go on forever, but at last I shan't.

I am a big believer in love. Like I love, love y'know? I don't really know how to explain it because I'm not speaking in the aspect of the love whereby you find your other half "boy meets girl" etc. No, that's all fair and well but I'm talking about the love which makes you feel. That love, that completely consumes you and has nothing to do with receiving it back. It's that idea of loving something or someone and through that you draw power and energy and in a way your whole existence relies upon this love. The love you have for your sibling, the love you have for parents, the love you have for your god and even the love that you have for your inspiration. In my case this would be 'Nelson Mandela, may he rest in peace. I had never met Nelson in person, nor was I close to him in any way. He was unaware of my existence but I had this connection with him. His pure essence, because of what he stood for and what he will be known for. "A freedom fighter, the man who spent 27 years of his life captivated by a race which any other man would despise... He forgave." Why? no-one truly knows why all we know is that he did and because of this we know that he had so much love and hope within himself to give. Just because he forgave, it affected more than a handful of nations, presidents, people, leaders, children everyone. How? I honestly have asked myself how on earth he done it, like on the day of his release it was then that he decided to forgive those who caused him such pain. Then I realised, it's because his love was always greater than his hate. "No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite." This is the prime reason, why I adored Nelson and will continue to do so he was an inspiration for me through the life he lived and he will remain to be mine until my last breathe. I just hope he receives the rest he so deserves, because lord knows he has suffered enough on this earth.

Love... Love is this feeling that you have in your heart, it feels so so so GOOD. You just have that feeling you know? It's this sense within you a feeling that you cannot lift nor do you want too. The perfect example of this would be my mother. My mother is absolutely and completely devoted to her god (Allah) It completely stuns me, because she solely relies on him. My mother glows, because she is able to rely on this higher power knowing that there is someone above her watching over her because of this she has hope, faith, love and happiness. It is the love she thrives off. In a way it completes her, it's this love that I love. The love that can either make you or break you. So whether that love makes you hurt or makes you feel good hey! If you can feel the bad then you sure as hell can feel the good. It's in some ways like having a cold, the suffering is only temporary then once it's gone you are healthy/ happy again. Like love, you may be in a position whereby you are hurting because of a loved one but if you persevere and be optimistic there is no way that it cannot be changed and if this is not the case then at least you tried. Rather that you try, than live and regret. If you tried you know within yourself that you did in fact try in an attempt to make things work and if you didn't then you may be left with regret gnawing at you.

Love can be good, love is bad but in the end love is love and whatever you do just remember you can too.

Peace & Love
