1) - Reminders; as I do not own a phone it is difficult for me to remind myself to revise so the way in which I go about this is by writing small notes on objects which I use everyday. For example, my notebook which I take out at least everyday or even on my light switch 'revise _ _ _ _ ' for today. Etc - So that helps me from not forgetting to revise as well as keeps me from not freaking out in terms of thinking I don't have enough time.
2) - Water; I know loads of people say that you need to drink water but seriously it helps a bunch. For GCSE's I didn't drink water but I did have two bunches of apples which I would eat whilst revising. I seem to always have something nearby whether it be a drink or snack when revising and this time it's been water. Whenever I didn't understand something or had trouble remembering I would take a swig of water and calm down and go about it in a different manner. However, I wouldn't recommend drinking as much during the exam as I had to pee quite a few times throughout my revision sessions. But all in all it kept me hydrated as well as awake. Better than, any coffee or tea if I'm honest.
3) - Breaks; You need to have breaks in between your revision. If you don't, nothing will go in. If you have say at least a 10-15 minute break every hour within those breaks you can recap everything you went through when revising so that when beginning a new set you'll feel much more confident. Not only this but recapping what you memorised every now and then will just test your brain and make you more likely to remember it.
4) - 'Flashcards / colours'; So whenever I revise I always have a constant colour scheme. Meaning that when I in the exam certain colours / words will remind me of a fact. For example the colour red I would associate with statistic facts therefore when remembering a number stat I think of the colour red and imagine my flash cards. Flash cards are overall very helpful, due to them being handy so that whilst I am walking/ travelling I am able to read through.
I hope these little tips will help you, and if you have any more leave comments and let me know!
As always, peace & love
